HOGS

Just before arriving in Wadi Rum we passed 200+ motorcycles, a very unusual site in the Middle East. I took several pictures from the car as they passed by. The next day on our drive to the Dead Sea we stopped at a pit/rest stop. A small group of motorcycles had also stopped. We started talking with some of the men and women in the group. We found out that every year the regional HOG, Harley Owners Group, plans an outing and chapters from around the Middle East and further, meet and go on a ride. This year they were touring areas of Jordan. The group at the rest stop were mostly from Abu Dhabi, Jordan and Dubai. They said they travel in smaller groups so not to disrupt traffic and all meet in the evening again. Almost all spoke English and many had been to the U.S. to ride too. Here are a few pictures.

    Hi Bob
Catching up on your travels. These guys look convincingly American. Do they dress up that way for these events?

    Keep on postin’.

Never realized that HOGs were an international movement. Happy funny and interesting. Missing you and ME at Liza’s wedding. Be well.
