with Meredith at Jenny Lake

Driving about a half hour north of Jackson is Grand Teton National Park and Jenny Lake one of several lakes in the park. Jenny Lake is a glacial lake that sits at the foot of the Grand Teton. It offers breathtaking views of the rugged Grand Teton that dominates your view from any location in the area.

Jenny Lake Lodge is described as rustic elegance and is the recipient of many awards for it accommodations and their culinary experience, serving breakfast, lunch and a 5-course dinner. Many return annually to walk the 200 miles of trails and feast on the wonderful food. We stayed  two nights in one of the 35 cabins nestled in the towering pines .

The first day we walked 6.5 miles around Jenny Lake making several stops at Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point . Around every turn another dramatic mountain view appeared of the Grand Teton.

The second day we signed up for a two hour horseback tour. We had no experience in horseback riding but all agreed we would try it again.

Words cannot really describe the beauty of the area, so I am going to cut this short and let the pictures tell the story.

Bob the beauty of the Tetons is inspirational and you did it justice with your breath taking photos! The water is so clear- not like the Schykill!!
